If you’re in an urban area with good coverage for Boost Mobile (see map of U.S. coverage areas HERE), this phone will get you into an unlimited data and talk plan for $50 a month plus the cost of the phone (around $179). It’s a smaller phone, with only a 3.2-inch screen, but if you don’t need a larger screen to see it easily, the small size is great. It runs the Android OS, the phone is currently on Froyo (Android 2.2) and will run everything on the Android market. The phone even supports bluetooth stereo headphones. The rear-facing camera is merely 2 megapixels, and no LED light to help in low light. Video isn’t much to write about, but it’s there if you need it. It may not be a cheap phone to get into, but if you’re in a Boost Mobile coverage area, the price can’t be beat, saving you about $100 a month over Verizon, who no longer has an unlimited data plan anyway.
