Samsung updates their Evo 4G phone to include a 3D display and stereo cameras on the back to record 3D images. It uses similar technology to Sony’s Nintendo 3DS device. It has a beautiful QHD (quarter-high def) display that can display 3D without 3D glasses. It’s a great idea, though some people may find the display in 3D hard to look at for too long. There’s a 3D/2D switch on one side to turn off the 3D features.

It loses the kickstand from the previous Evo, but certainly not the build quality you expect from HTC or the easy-to-see size.

  • 4.3-inch 3D QHD (960×540) display with pinch-to-zoom and tactile feedback
  • Dual 5 megapixel cameras to capture 3D video and images
  • Powered by the Android 2.3 operating system
  • Built-in mobile hotspot functionality allows up to eight Wi-Fi enabled devices
  • What’s in the Box: HTC EVO 3D handset, rechargeable battery, charger, USB cable, quick start guide, user manual
