RIM is creating a music subscription program that could allow BlackBerry users to listen to and share up to 50 songs through its popular BBM Messenger. Called BBM Music, the new service is said to cost less than $10 per month. If RIM is successful, BBM Music will become a direct competitor to Apple’s iTunes and the newly introduced Spotify.
While it’s great to offer a music service for BlackBerry users, we don’t love that you can only access 50 songs at a time. The option to share and recommend songs to other users would be a nice plus, though.
What do you think? Would you use the new BBM Music, or do you rely on Android and Apple phones to meet your music needs?
