The Motorola MotoROKR s9 HD offers a lot of what a bluetooth headset should. It’s a fully functioning Bluetooth headset for a phone, but also has full controls as a Bluetooth headset for music as well. You can make or take calls, repeat or skip tracks and control volume from the headset. It has full controls in an easy-to-find place, just above the earpieces. The biggest part of the unit fits behind your head, comfortably, to distribute the weight of the headset (at a mere 1.14 ounces, you may forget you’re wearing anything!). With the Bluetooth receiver at the back, they suggest your device (phone, MP3 player, etc.) not be in a front pocket, even with an approximate 33 foot distance from the device.

The silicone earbuds are comfortable enough to wear for long periods of time, such as long-winded conversations or long workouts/walks. There are optional iPod Bluetooth adapters so even iPods can work with the device. iPhones and other devices with Bluetooth built in will pair with the headset with no additional hardware required. It’s water- and sweat-resistant and frees you up to work out or listen or talk without getting tangled up in wires from a conventional headset. For the price, around fifty bucks, it’s a solid-sounding headset and about as cheap as a conventional one-eared Bluetooth headset, but it’s stereo and plays music as well.

The headset comes with a USB charger. It will run approximately 6 hours of music listening or 7 hours of talk on a single charge.
