Online, Phone Resources for Waiting Out Hurricane Irene

MSNBC has compiled a great list of resources for East Coasters who must spend their weekend battling Irene. The news website recommends online support forums, Facebook pages, Twitter accounts, smartphone apps, and Hurricane Irene alerts that can be sent to your phone or computer.

Which resources you utilize will obviously depend on where you’re located. For example, West Coasters can use all these resources to check up on loved ones. Those without power may have to rely on smartphone apps and other mobile-friendly platforms – if they can get an internet connection. Those who haven’t been hit by Irene yet may find the hurricane alerts to be the most useful.

Wherever you are, stay safe. Hopefully these MSNBC resources will help!
