Who says the Internet’s a young person’s playground? A 58-year-old Scottish grandmother named Anne Muir was recently convicted of pirating more than 31,000 songs worth more than $88,500. Muir, who’s a nurse and a grandmother of eight, became the first person in Scotland convicted of such a crime.
According to MSNBC, Muir caught the attention of police after putting her bountiful loot on a peer-to-peer sharing service. She entered a guilty plea and was sentenced to counseling and three years’ probation.
