Android and iPhone users can now utilize Google’s Instant Previews on their smartphones. This feature, which was introduced last fall for laptop computers, allows seniors to see a preview of the website’s interface before they actually click on the link.
This may sound like just another bell and whistle, but Instant Previews is actually pretty useful, particularly on smartphones. That’s because many web pages aren’t yet optimized for smartphones. This can result in slower download times, among other things. Many people prefer not to even visit certain websites if they’re not smartphone optimized.
Instant Previews would give you a glimpse of how easy or difficult it will be to navigate through this website before you take that extra step. It will show you whether the page has been designed for smartphones, or whether you’ll have to deal with tons and tons of small text.
To utilize this feature, simply click on the magnifying glass icon to the right of the website link and description after conducting a Google search. The new feature is available on phones with Android 2.2 and iOS 4.4 and above.
