Free Online Game Review: Bing Harvest Puzzle for Boomers

Free Online Game Review: Bing Harvest Puzzle for BoomersPuzzles are fun and a good challenge. There’s a fun, free one on Bing that lets you choose how easy or hard it is. If you have a few minutes to work on one, the “Easy” setting is great. If you’d like to have a more challenging puzzle (same image, smaller pieces) you can chose normal or hard levels. Adding even more complexity, you can turn on rotation, so the pieces aren’t in the orientation they will finally be, much like you’d have when emptying a puzzle box onto a table.

Here's the board in hard mode, rotation turned on, background color changed

Using the shift key allows you to move multiple pieces at once (whatever the circle touches). When the pieces lock together, you get a solid snap sound that replicates what a real puzzle would sound like. And there are other sounds, like a little victory sound when you complete the outside edge and one when you complete the puzzle. The virtual table surface can scroll around, so you can spread the pieces out however you’d like, even putting together groups and moving them in as you complete them.

You can even customize the color of the background. The stock blue is pleasant, but a warmer color looks more like fall colors.
