Ford Nixing CD Players in New Models

Ford has become the first major car manufacturer to banish CD players from its new models. The new Ford Focuses will now include USB sockets that can accommodate digital music players.

These models will contain the Sync feature, which can access a driver’s digital music collection via the Internet once a music device like the iPhone, iPod or other MP3 players are plugged into the provided dongle.

What do you think? Is Ford remaining ahead of the curb by integrating these USB sockets, or would the change force you to alter the way you transport music?
