Cyber Crime Ring Stole $13 Million in One Day

Cyber criminals stole $13 million by accessing ATMs in six countries

A network of cyber criminals has committed one of the largest bank heists ever. This gang withdrew $13 million in one day by hitting ATMS across six countries by utilizing pre-paid debit cards.

Fidelity National Information Services, which is a bank located in Jacksonville, FL, first reported that there was a breach in its security on May 5. During this breach the network of criminals had broken into the bank’s network and accessed its database, which contained the balances of each customer’s prepaid debit card.

The heist then becomes a bit complicated, but in essence the gang duplicated the prepaid cards and used them at ATMs all over the world. These cyber criminals just get fiercer and fiercer…
