Last week we mentioned that Apple Stores nationwide would be closing for an hour and a half so employees could watch the company’s memorial tribute to Steve Jobs, which was broadcast from its headquarters in Cupertino, Calif. Apple employees and the famous faces who physically attended the tribute were the only ones who had the privilege of watching this tribute…until now.
Apple recently posted the 80-minute tribute, called Celebrate Steve, on its website. Many of Apple’s top personnel spoke at the event, including Tim Cook, who superseded Jobs as CEO after he resigned in August due to failing health.
Cook remembered Jobs for his drive for perfection and unconventional thinking. “Steve never followed the herd,” he says in the tribute video. “He thought deeply about almost everything and was the most unconventional thinker I have ever known. He always did what he thought was right, not what was easy.”
