Apple is expecting a huge demand for their new MacBook Air to be released in July, just on the heels of the release of Mac OS X 10.7, codenamed Lion. The updated Air will likely feature a Thunderbolt port, an Intel Sandy Bridge processor and be pre-loaded with Lion, to take great advantage of Apple’s new iCloud service. Current MacBook Pro and MacBook computers feature Thunderbolt ports and Sandy Bridge processors.
Apple may sell twice as many units in the third quarter of 2011 that it did in the second quarter because of this.
